There are barriers in everyday environments that can hinder a person’s ability to function optimally.  Examples include stairs that are no longer negotiable, a bathroom that has become difficult and unsafe to use or a space that does not allow freedom of movement for a person using a wheelchair.  Solving these problems requires knowledge and experience in rehabilitation medicine as well as skills in space planning and design.

Michelle Wallach Design was founded by occupational therapist and interior designer Michelle Wallach, OTR/L, CAPS to address the specific design needs of people with disabilities and those looking for Universal Design solutions. Over many years in the field, Michelle has helped hundreds of people of all ages to improve the safety and accessibility of their homes.
